Week 2 Wednesday

Summary:

In the morning, Jenna and I met with Prof. Rodger. We talked about when the other students would be coming and an upcoming workshop she was preparing for. Going over the Alice project, I was shown the tutorial site and hopefully later this week (tomorrow/friday) I can work on reformatting the site for 2009 to include screen shots and a better/more polished presentation of the information. After the meeting I worked on Jenna’s power point, going over her new tutorial and making changes primarily to the layout. The undergrad research lunch was really fun. I got a chance to meet the professors and other students working here and the conversation was amusing. =) I’m curious as to what the facebook group is about. We were told we’d have to do a presentation at some point in the summer on the project so hopefully during that, I’ll get to learn more about it. I looked at the php/html for the tutorials page and it doesn’t look too complicated at all. Hopefully we can put something together that will both look nice and be functional.

Thoughts:

I really enjoyed working on the powerpoint and am really excited to see Jenna’s tutorial used. I sent the power point back to Jenna for review with some comments.
